Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the concerns experienced by trainee teachers during teaching practice. The objective of this study is to understand the factors that cause anxiety among trainee teachers during teaching practice. Researchers will review solutions to address concerns among trainee teachers. This study involved a sample of students (PISMP) semester 7. 163 people consisting of Islamic Education Department, of Malay Studies and Mathematics Education at IPG Islamic Education Campus . The questionnaire is divided into five parts, namely, demographic characteristics, motives for choosing the teaching profession, attitudes towards the teaching profession, training in the teaching profession and teaching professionalism. This study will contribute in the analysis of micro teaching environment for trainee teachers and will also facilitate in developing a more constructive environment for trainee teachers during teaching practice. The Trainee Teacher Anxiety Scale (STAS) is used to determine the factors that cause anxiety among trainee teachers regarding teaching practice. Quantitative analysis was performed using correlation, ANOVA and regression analysis to draw conclusions from the study results. This study shows that there is a significant effect on trainee teachers concerns on their practical performance. The findings of the study indicate that the factors that cause teaching concerns on the performance of teaching practice, trainee teachers are positive with the 'Extensive training program'
